Dedicated to ensuring that all children, parents, and educators are able to receive individualized, 21st-century learning pportunities in safe and caring environments no matter their race, faith, or school type.
Services offered include on and off-site consulting, grant research and writing, curriculum evaluation, professional development seminars, blended and online learning training and opportunities, one-on-one student support and tutoring, and parent support.
I have worked with business such as Prestige Pools, Lost Valley and Central Maine Adaptive Sports, all of Auburn, Maine; as well as Saint Dominic Academy at their Lewiston
Campus. Along with this, I have provided blended learning support to Catholic schools in Maine, California, and Illinois.
2017 Present
Lead HiSET Instructor, State of Maine
Responsible for teaching WorkReady skills as well as Adult Education (including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies from beginner to college level) to the male and female population of the Maine Correctional Center and Southern Maine Reentry Center in Windham, Maine. In this position, I work one-on-one as well as with small groups of inmates to help them learn the necessary skills to become a contributing member of society upon completion of their sentence. I have also worked with the MCC School Department to aligned the Maine Correctional Center’s school curriculum with the National Standards and the College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education.
Through the implementation of technology and programs such as HiSET Academy, CASAS Academy, and Reading Horizons, Increased the adult HiSET enrollment by double and more than tripled the completion/graduation rate of male inmates.
During this time I also served on the hiring committee and was part of the interview team for new hires of the school department and library at the Maine Correctional Center.

Teacher and Administrator, Saint Dominic Academy
Blended Learning Summer Enrichment Program Coach 2017
As the Blended Learning Summer Enrichment Program Coach, it was my responsibility to
ensure that the teachers who are in direct contact with the students enrolled in the program
receive the necessary professional development and support to ensure they are able to
provide individualized instruction based on blended and traditional methodologies. This
support ranged from professional development sessions prior to the program’s start focused
on blended learning techniques and individualized instruction as well as ensuring teachers
were able to “drill down” and read the data which was collected through the blended learning
software. Along with this, I provided hands-on support and oversight of the online portion of
the program.
Elementary School Teacher/Blended Learning Staff Coach 2016 - 2017
In my desire to be a complete educator, I had the opportunity to transition to the elementary
campus of the academy in 2016 and I made the transition happily. My responsibility in this
role was teaching in a self-contained classroom of up to 20 students. Subjects covered
included Mathematics, Language Arts, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and Spelling,
Science, Social Studies, Study Skills, and Religion. Education techniques included both
blended and project-based learning as well as the incorporation of Computer Aided Design
and 3D printing. These 21st-century teaching skills where complemented by traditional and
group methodologies. The primary focus in the classroom was to ensure students had
developed in mind, body, and spirit so they would be prepared to be lifelong learners and
thrive as 21st-century citizens.
Along with teaching full-time, I was also responsible for working with our Curriculum Director
in implementing blended learning throughout the school at grades Pre-K through 8. This
work entailed meeting with each grade level teacher in their classroom to evaluate
their needs and desires as well as observing their current styles in regards to blended
learning. I was also responsible for running weekly staff training to ensure understanding of
methodologies and best practices. Topics covered in the training included but were not
limited to: Moving from traditional teaching to Blended Instruction; What Blended Learning
Style is Right for You?; Considerations, Time Management, and Accountability; Designing
Your Blended Learning Space; Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication; and Using
Data to Drive Learning.
Coordinator of Distance Learning 2016 - 2017
As the Coordinator of Distance Learning, it was my responsibility to ensure that technology
and 21st-century skills were being incorporated into the curriculum, specifically at the K - 8
level. It was my job, through data collection and analysis, to maximize both the
human and physical resources to ensure students and teachers could be part of the
most innovative education available. This would ensure continued growth and success. This
position also entailed working with St. Joseph’s College of Standish, Maine to convert high
school Religion classes from traditional models to fully online and blended versions to allow
for the high school students to have a greater range of options in their academic experience.
Project Manager for SDA and Holy Savior Blended Learning Initiative 2016 - 2017
Responsibilities included researching, applying for, and managing grants to initiate and
continue the implementation of blended learning at the Holy Savior School campus in
Rumford, ME; support program integration and growth through research-based strategies
for effective development of a blended and project-based curriculum; lead, coach, and
develop high performing staff to be an integral part of the implementation including areas
such as field work, technology, data systems, site support, training and development;
measure and monitor the progress of the program against other blended learning models,
programs objectives, and performance targets; lead the refinement and articulation of the
program’s long-term sustainability, scalability, and operating principles; organize networks to
increase technological engagement opportunities between schools, and collaborate with
administration and peers in regards to need, opportunity, development, evaluation, and
support of the program. Once the program was established, a Lead Teacher was put in
place to continue the initiative.
Dean of Student Affairs 2008 - 2016
Responsibilities included working with the administrative team to set-up appropriate,
action-based rules and regulations through a clear and transparent rubric system. To carry
out standards and regulations in a positive manner, being sure to empower the students
through reflection and reinforce the ultimate goal of self-behavior modification while keeping
each student’s dignity intact. Worked closely with the student body, faculty, staff, and
families to obtain feedback on school climate and attitudes; reviewed policy and procedures
for effectiveness; and advocated for the student body. In this role, I maintained silent and
verbal mentoring to the student body and staff. I also worked with the administrative team
to offer training to students and other stakeholders in how to deal effectively with bullying
through the use of positive behavior modification, and incorporating natural consequences.
Overall, I was responsible for the emotional and social health of the student body and
faculty.
Virtual High School Site Coordinator 2007 - 2016
I was the primary contact between the Saint Dominic Academy students and the Virtual
High School (VHS) Team who offered online courses for the school. Tasks included
keeping VHS informed about progress and issues in a timely manner, and ensured
communication from VHS reached the appropriate school personnel; ensured grades
and progress reports for participating students were completed and submitted for
administrative purposes within the school; met regularly with all students enrolled in Net
Courses to troubleshoot operational problems and discuss progress; responsible for parent
contact with regard to student’s VHS participation; worked with Net Course instructors in
situations where students needed additional support or had an extended illness /
circumstances that interfered with their course participation.
Middle and High School Teacher 2005 - 2016
In this position, I was responsible for teaching a number of specific sections of middle and
high school courses. Courses taught included Computer Programming, CAD, English and
Language Arts (grades 7 - 12), Reading Comprehension, and Writing; as well as
overseeing an individualized student learning lab to give targeted tutoring to students in
need.
Library and Media Specialist 2003 - 2015
I worked directly with the school’s Development and Main Offices to set-up book programs
for current and new students. In this position, I was the primary motivator in developing a
video library and transferring library holdings from a dated card catalog system to a
computerized tracking system (Concourse Opac). Played a key role in taking library
attendance and use from 3 - 4 students daily to more than 20 students, consistently.
Supervised after-school library staff and created schedules for supervision. Also,
increased the library holdings from 3,000 volumes in 2003 to more than 10,000 volumes in
2015 through solicited donations.
